Hi all,
after upgrade to xfce-4.4.1 I have problem with my Firefox browser and Thunderbird mail client. If my browser is in a workspace other than the current workspace and I click on some link in the current workspace in my Thunderbird client, my browser is moved to the current workspace to load the link. It is annoying.
I have found some hints (try to set Activate Focus Stealing Prevention option) on the web, but i didn't help unfortunately.
Can you somebody please help me solve that problem?
Thanks,
Radek S.

Hi,
I found the solution on the web already. Try to add the following in ~/.config/xfce4/mcs_settings/wmtweaks.xml
<option name="Xfwm/ActivateAction" type="string" value="none"/>
It works for me.
Regards,
Radek

Hi,
This worked perfectly. There really should be a setting in the Window Manager Settings for this..
- bracket

Is this still supposed to work in Xfce 4.8 (distributed by Ubuntu)?
I have this in my ~/.config/xfce4/mcs_settings/wmtweaks.xml
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE mcs-option SYSTEM "mcs-option.dtd">
<mcs-option>
<option name="Xfwm/ActivateAction" type="string" value="switch"/>
</mcs-option>
But what happens is that Firefox is brought to the workspace where I open a link. What should happen is that Xfce switches to the workspace where Firefox is running.
