Problem using exo-mount to unmount devices mounted manually with pmount-hal

I am having trouble using Thunar/exo-mount with removable volumes.  The first symptom of the issue arises when I attempt to unmount a volume that was mounted with something other than Thunar/exo-mount.  The operation fails, throwing an error saying I do not have privileges to unmount the volume.  I know that this is not true because I can use pumount from the command line to unmount the specified volume.  The other issue I am having is that things mounted by Thunar/exo-mount do not follow fdi specifications in /usr/share/hal/fdi.  Any options I specify seem to be completely ignored.

My questions are as follows:
What does exo-mount/Thunar use to mount/unmount volumes?
Why will they not allow me to unmount things when I clearly have access to do so?
When mounting things, why are HAL fdi specifications ignored?

If anyone has any input, I would most appreciate it.  Thanks.

Re: Problem using exo-mount to unmount devices mounted manually with pmount-hal

It has been several months now and I am still having problems with this.  I would very much appreciate any comments anyone may have regarding this particular problem.  I have been having extraordinary luck with Xfce and I would very much like to solve this one remaining issue.

Keep up the good work, developers!
