How can I add icons for partitions to Xfce desktop?

I have just added a HDD with two new partitions that I would like to add icons for to the Xfce desktop.  I would like to add drive icons, not just folder icons.
Right-clicking on the desktop doesn't offer me any feasible option.
How do I do this? :?  Or is it not possible?
I have Xubuntu 7.04.
Thanks.

You can create a new desktop file with a drive icon that run 'thunar /path/to/the/drive'
