I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I was wondering what licence the XFCE mouse logo is licenced as. I am assuming that it can only be used for XFCE material.
The reason I am asking is that a friend was just going to use it in their own site logo without asking, and I told them that you cant just take things like that and use it, then they got upset, and 'how do you know if they care about people using their logo", etc.
So to settle the argument, I am wondering if the logo is only for XFCE or is it GPL or Creative Commons. Then again this is possibly the 1st time that this question has been asked, If there is a licence, perhaps it should be included in the artwork tarball.
If this isn't the right place to ask, could someone point me in the right direction of where to ask.
(The only way I could convince them not to use it, was if I asked if they could use it)
Everything in Xfce is GPL or LGPL, so feel free to use the logo for other open source (GPL-ed) stuff.

The logo is for a forum avatar, In the signature for the account she has "IMG source -http://members.optusnet.com.au/c.halliwell/logo.zip" (http://members.optusnet.com.au/c.halliwell/logo.zip)
She is new to GPL and isn't a programmer, took me a bit to explain GPL, then I pointed to the fsf site, and they are up to GPL3, the changes are interesting to read. Anyway I digress.
at the moment it has a readme:
XFCE Mouse logo used with kind permision from http://www.xfce.org/
This image is licenced under GPL (http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/gpl.html)
are you guys happy with this, or would you prefer a different wording or anything?
Fine by me, as long as it stays licensed under GPL.
