missing inactive window transparency option

I'm running Xubuntu 6.06 with xcomposite enabled.  Everything is working, except that I'm missing the ability to set opacity of inactive windows through WM Tweaks -> Compositor.  The other four sliders are available, just not this one which I've read about.
The about Xfce button states:
Xfce 4 Desktop Environment
version 4.3.90.2 (Xfce 4.4 BETA1)
which I found odd since I thought this was beta 2.
Is there a file I can edit manually besides the one in ~/.config/xfce4/mcs_settings/wmtweaks.xml which provides the same limitations, as the option is again not available?

This could also be a nice programming exercise using transset-df instead of the composite manager (not that I could pull it off  ;>)  Anyways any suggests are appreciated.

Re: missing inactive window transparency option

How about upgrading to 4.4.1? Some of the options weren't added until the release of 4.4.0/1
