Sessions saved when saving should be disabled

Installed Xubuntu 7.1 and having problems with the session manager. I have disabled saving sessions, however the session is saved on logout and restored on login. Further, I have enabled prompt on logout, but this never happens.

I've reinstalled xfce-session package but this has not helped.

Things were working well until I deleted the cache, due to another issue: the dreaded multiple nm-applet instances appearing in the systray.

Any ideas how to fix this problem, i.e. disable sessions! Thanks.

Re: Sessions saved when saving should be disabled

What do you mean with disabled saving sessions? Are you sure auto save is not enabled? (settings dialog).
