Calling window on another desktop moves it to the current desktop

I (and others I have asked about this) have noticed a new behavior for windows in XFCE 4.4.1 and 4.4.2 that was not present in 4.4.0

If I have Firefox open on desktop 3 and Thunderbird or pidgin open on desktop 4 and I click a URL link the link used to open in a tab in Firefox on desktop 3.  With the newer versions of XFCE however the link is opened in a tab in Firefox as expected but Firefox is moved to Desktop 4 (the current desktop).

The particular desktop number and applications involved do not seem to effect the outcome.  I have tried both distro supplied versions (Xubuntu, Fedora, Slackware) of the applications as well as standard versions.

I am hoping there is a new setting or something that will revert this to it's previous behavior.

Thanks

Re: Calling window on another desktop moves it to the current desktop

It seems this is covered here.
http://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2961

And there is a fix here:
http://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2961#c13

This is so irritating to the point of my not using XFCE anymore.  As I LOVE XFCE I am really glad there is a fix even if it is kind of a hack rather being a WM Tweak where it should be.

Anyway I am glad I can keep using XFCE and hope this helps anybody else that is frustrated.
