Different versions

I am looking at the translationstatus and I found my self troubled about which version I am looking at.
What versions is trunk?
Is 4_2 the same as 4.4.2? Or whats the system?

Trunk is 4.5.x (will be 4.6.x after the next stable release), the branches contain 4.4.x (in xfce_4_4) and 4.2.x (in xfce_4_2). You can see your version in xfce4-about.
