Xfce panel applet template

Hi all!
Is there any basic XFCE panel template code for starting building (and learn how to build) a new one?
With an icon and text, a contextual menu, a foo configuration window and standard building scripts... something like that.

Excuse me if this post is so vague (I'm at work and I don't have live logs).
Yesterday I've tried to compile the SVN demo but seems that I've some problems with the autogen and the "m4_ifdef".
I'll post my logs ASAP but I wonder if this problem happened before.
If this post says nothing, ignore it. I'll post eventually the logs (or the solution) at home.

PS: I'm using ArchLinux.
