How to make the panel visible?

One day, the desktop starts without the top and bottom panel.
If I choose the panel configuration item, it does not start.
I have had to create a new session and on start I can choose between the sessions. In a new session, the panel is visible.

How can I make the panel in the first session visible again?

I do use Debian Etch.

Probably the panel is not running anymore.

Hit ALT+F2, enter xfce4-panel, hit enter.

Re: How to make the panel visible?

Hi,

This command works to bring the panel back but it must be executed every time I start up the computer.  How do I make the panels appear on start up without having to use the command ever time?

By saving your session. In the Settings manager, check the box that says so.
