how xfce could have desktop icons for "file system" and "home"

My xfce is 4.4.
And the desktop setting :desktop preference
I have check to select the option "allow the xfce to manage the desktop",
Under the behavior tab, File/launcher icons on the dropdown menu,my xfce don't have this menu option ,only have the option menu "NONE" and "minimized application icons"

It is very strange.

And my linux is not distro.the xfce is compiled from source code.

Colud any one give me help. Thanks in advanced.
