xfce4-sensors-plugin

Hello,

First post here. I've been using xfce on the Aspire One, with the Acer Linpus install, and am quite satisfied with it.

I want to try some tweaks to control the fan of the CPU, but I would like first to have some visual feedback on the CPU temperature. Obviusly, I would like something native to xfce. Googling, I've found several mentions to xfce4-sensors-plugin package, which I've installed but...... Then what? smile

I could not find any information on how to ACTIVATE the plugin. I've searched everywhere without success. On Gnome I would just right click on the panel to add something to it, but on xfce it does nothing. I don't know if it's Acer Linpus fault or if xfce is supposed to behave that way.

If so, how do I add the sensors to the panel? And while we are at it, how to add anything to the panel?

Thanks!

Re: xfce4-sensors-plugin

Should be fairly simple, Right click on the Panel--> Add New Item

The sensors plugin should be named "Sensors Plugin", there are also several installed by default and more available at http://goodies.xfce.org

Good Luck
