I've been using xfce for about a month now, and I'm liking it a lot, especially xfwm4, I find it to be one of the best wms out there. My only problem is that while I have transparency enabled for pretty much everything (I like transparency ) I don't believe there is an option for making the active window transparent. I don't like compiz (too flashy), And so I was wondering when this feature was going to be implemented (if at all) or if it is and I'm just being oblivious.
Many Thanks!

What would be the point? If you make the active window transparent it would be difficult to view it. You can make the window decoration transparent.

It's fine if you have your colors set. And i like seeing whats going on in pandora and xchat while surfing the web. It's not that big of a deal.

Clicking on the titlebar with buttons 8/9 sets trans level per window here, try your scroll wheel on the titlebar. If that doesn't work poke over the docs/wiki

This was the only thing that fixed it for me: https://vorkbaard.nl/fix-window-transpa … ent-144673
Sorry for digging this up. I was just happy to find an actual solution after reading this old thread, but none of the solutions here helped me. What s0ulslack said wasn't really working for me and it turns out to be a strange solution that I never would have thought would work but did.

No point to get snarky. I wasn't doing anything wrong and I still said sorry. This was not a necro because I actually wrote the real solution for anyone who would find this thread through Google someday, just like I did.
Here's the definition of a necro-post: "If the topic has been inactive for a significant length of time, and the new post adds nothing to the topic, then the post can be considered a necropost."

Just a joke.
