Hello. I'm totally new to unix so i don't know how to do anything. Yet. I have an Acer Aspire One running linux linpus lite. Is it possible to make the system mount an external CD drive on booting and show an acon on the desktop to give access to the drive. Equally I would like to dismount the drive via the desktop before powering down. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm trying to make the system as easy to use as possiible. Thanks in anticipation.

I haven't tried myself but you should be able to do this already. The drive itself may not show up but if you insert a disc you should get desktop access to it.
But it's all right, when you're all in pain and you feel the rain come down
It's alright, when you find your way, then you see it disappear
It's alright....

No that doesn't happen. the drive, I'm sure, has to be mounted first.
