advanced mode thunar

Hallo! I'm Michele and I need help!
I've recently bought an "acer-one": every time I switch on the pc I do not have the "advanced mode" in the " thunar view menu". How can I let it stay?
Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks a lot!
Bye bye
michele

Re: advanced mode thunar

Hi! it's really hard for me to explain it...let's try!
in the italian version (the one I bought!) there's a view menu in the thunar...in that menu you can choose the "advanced" or the "standard" mode...the advanced one allows you to view, for example, every memory card you have in the slot and to open them automatically.
The problem is that I don't know how to let this "advanced mode" stay in the view menu, so  every time I switch on the pc I have to choose it again!
Thanks
bye

Re: advanced mode thunar

This might not help, but isn't the Acer One a netbook? Why do you turn it off and not put it in suspend. I do this with a normal laptop and all the settings remain because it's not being turned off.

Re: advanced mode thunar

Exaamine your '/home/[your user]/.config/Thunar/thunarrc' file where [your user] is your login name.

Re: advanced mode thunar

I asume that in Michele means the feature that you can enable with the option 'View as Advanced mode' in the View menu.
(Acer Aspire One 110 running Linpus Linux Lite)

As far as I could detect the setting is controlled - on my A110 - by /home/user/.config/Thunar/thunarrc with te value for DISKVIEW

My thunarrc seems to remember the required settings:
[Configuration]
DefaultView=ThunarDetailsView
....
DiskView=TRUE
......

[Configuration]
DefaultView=ThunarDetailsView
....
DiskView=TRUE
......

Hope this helps.
