Terminal a la xterm

hi Forum

....i'd like to set my Terminal (xfterm4) in an xterm fashion (xterm -bg black -fg yellow, etc...), I use a lot of terminals in different color, (and don't like using gnome-terminal, 'coz I like to keep my installations minimal)...
...I still haven't found a way with "Terminal".  Any1 knows how to achieve this?

thnx in advance

R.

Re: Terminal a la xterm

I have used rxvt for a long time and recently moved up to urxvt (same plus unicode support). It took me a few hours to get colours and other bells & whistles right, but pleased with the result. rxvt is the leaner than urxvt though and seems to be the leanest (non exhaustive search, so there may be more our there).

Re: Terminal a la xterm

There are no multi-colors terminals with Terminal.  The configuration is unique and shared accross every window.
