XFCE installer error: Failed to build xfce4-settings

Got this error while installing xfce using the installer (Slackware 12.2)
Got all the dependencies OKed by installer but fails during : xfce4 settings Dialog Daemon with ERROR:

Any idea as to what this error might be? I'd appreciate any help.

Probably your libwnck is too old or libwnck-dev is not installed (and the dependency checker forgot it).

emerge/lin/apt-get/whatever the missing package and try again.
To find out if you have got it, do a

$ pkg-config --list-all|grep wnck

from your nearest terminal. The result should be non-empty.

showing: libwnck-2.18.3
seems pretty recent

No libwnck-dev is installed. I will go ahead and build it.

Solved this by upgrading libwnck from libwnck-2.18.3 to libwnck 2.24.2
The installation past the section during which it was failling. Did not get any other errors.
Got an issue with the panels after installation but that turned out to be a simple fix.

Xfce 4.6 Release Candidate 1 aka Capybara (Unstable version 4.5.99.1) up and runing well for now!!!!!

I got a erro like this,but the log is diffrent.
"now try to invoke pygobject-codegen-2.0 in the same directory
/usr/share/pygobject/2.0/codegen/definitions.py:42: DeprecationWarning: object.__init__() takes no parameters
  str.__init__(self, type_name)
...
Failed to build xfce4-settings"
I'd appreciate any help too...
