XFCE Crashing after installing xscreensaver

I've just installed xscreensaver for my xfce by going to the ports collection of freebsd. after the installation it seems my xfce crashes after a while. I have logged this for help porpuses. Anyone have a solution or guide me on how to solve it.

OS: Freebsd 7.0
XFCE Version: 4.4.3

If xscreensaver's OpenGL savers don't agree with xfce4's compositor or compiz, the both of them may crash the entire X11. I witnessed this on xubuntu but not yet on freebsd.

Possible exits are:

  • disable compositing

  • disable compiz

  • select only openGL-free or known-to-work savers in the screensaver configuration
