XFCE4.6 "Display Settings" Problem

I am currently running XFCE4.6 on Zenwalk 6.0 and there appears to be a problem with the Display option of the "Desktop Settings". Whilst you can apparently alter the resolution of your screen with the drop down menu, when you click on the Apply button nothing occurs .... the screen resolution is in no way altered nor is it changed. The problem is also being reported in the Arch forums, so it is not simply a Zenwalk issue
