how I wish my panel background could be transprent with xfce4.6....

I'm so happy with xfce.
if only the panel background could be transparent...
their was a patch since 2007 that allowed that, but since 4.6, even with all improvements done, ...

And I'm sure I'm not the only one...
my skills in gtk are not that good, but I'm sure a couple of hours are enough to do it for someone knowing well gtk.
so, anyone please...

I also wish someone would make another cairo-patch for the new xfce4 panel.

I wish it was implemented natively in Xfce's compositor..

Me too, and also a simple gui tool to use a panel image and/or button image instead of using a ~/.gtkrc-2.0 file.

And while were at it, a thumbnail view like the Compiz feature would be nice....

And while we're at icons: The icon selector for panel launchers doesn't recognize image files.
