XFCE 4.6 - blurred

Hi all

I am new to the forum so please tell me if I am posting in the wrong place.
I am a great fan of XFCE ever since I started using Sidux.  However, I recently did a dist-upgrade, which I am assuming installed the most recent desktop manager candidate (4.6?).  When I restarted my laptop everything was slightly blurred. The writing was not 100% sharp and to be honest, after about 10 minutes I had to turn the laptop off as my eyes were killing me. This never happened with "earlier" version of XFCE.

I since decided to give XFCE another try but using Debian (testing). I will not bore you with the details but once XFCE 4.6 was installed, the same happened again. My eyes have to really work hard to adjust while working with XFCE.  In KDE or earlier versions of XFCE, everything is as normal, Sharp as a razor...  yikes

I am using Dell D600, with 'ATI Technologies Inc Radeon RV250 [Mobility FireGL 9000] (rev 02)'. My Max resolution is 1024X768 at 60Mhz.

I prefer using XFCE but not at the price of teary, sore eyes.... are there any settings which can improve sharpness of the display?

Many thanks!

Look for what? Do you know what setting could be making this "problem"?

I have no English version installed but i'll try to guide you.
Settings --> Appearance? --> Fonts and there is a field called "use antialiasing"... mark it

hope it helps
