Hi,
I use ubuntu 9.04, and xfce 4.6.1 (also tried with 4.6) but the application shortcuts does not work.
So I cannot change sound volume, play, ...
The keycodes are Ok, I checked it.
The Window Manager shorcuts work perfectly well.
I can include new shortcuts through "Settings -> Keyboard -> Application Shortcuts", but nothing when I press the selected key.
Is there any foolish configuration thing I have forgotten? Any help?
Thanks.

There were already several reports of it, and I am also affected with this.

Make sure xfce4-settings-helper is running. Don't ask me why 4.6 has such a hard time keeping things running each session.

Its running for me but keys are not working. What should I do? I have 4.4.

There have been some improvements in 4.8 for this; one case this occurs if 2 helpers were started during startup, in this case killing the helpers and restarting it again (4.6 only) might work. The problem with this bug is, it works for all the Xfce devs and nobody provided a way to 'actually' reproduce it.
