Shut down

Moments ago I upgraded to Xubuntu 9.10.  But, now my computer doesn't shut down, and I have to press my cpu button to shut down.
It shows a long message. A part of the message is this:

Ubutu login: [1011.926021] Buffer I/0 error on device loop0, logical block 931886

Help please.

This has nothing to do with Xfce. A Google search show it's a Ubuntu problem.
