Low contrast themes

I'd like to make a plea for the addition of low-contrast and colour tints to be available to aid accessibility.  Most default themes, and the huge amounts of white when using WP's, tend to cause me eyestrain and headaches.   Personally, I'd find a pale green or grey a far more comfortable field colour on which to read black text, and similarly, I'd rather see similar colours instead of white in themes.

Welcome to the Forums Esme.  Have you checked http://xfce-look.org for other themes?  Theres a rather large selection.
