Dual-layer DVDs mount without icon

Using Xfce 4.6.1 on Slackware 13.0 here.

When I insert a dual-layer DVD containing data, it gets automounted and a file manager window pops up showing is contents. However, icons representing the mounted DVD do not appear either on the desktop (xfdesktop) or in the file manager (Thunar).

When I insert a CDROM or a single-layered data DVD, it gets automounted, a file manager window pops up showing its contents, and icons representing the mounted disc appear in both xfdesktop and Thunar.

Why are dual-layer DVDs causing problems?

Re: Dual-layer DVDs mount without icon

I have a smilar issue.  After a minor revision bump on FreeBSD, DVDs (single and dual layer) show up as icons fine, but my WD USB portable harddrive does not.

Bouncing to the console, I see (xfdesktop) WARNING unable to rename temp file to file to ~/.config/xfce4/desktop/icons.screen0.rc
