I have no panels

I just installed Debain Lenny on my Powerbook G4 and I have no panels.  After a little digging, I discovered that there is no ~/.xfce directories.  Where can I get a virgin copy?

Techie goodies:

Xfce 4.4.2

$ ls ~/.xfce*
ls: cannot access /home/shawn/.xfce*: No such file or directory
$ uname -a

Re: I have no panels

Xfce has followed some fdo spec and stored most config files in ~/.config/ since 4.4, by the way which is old.  Anyway, start xfce4-panel (ALT+F2-> xfce4-panel) and save your session on logout.

Yeah!  That worked.  But the Applications menu is empty.  Is it suppose to be that way?
