Is there someplace I can find a default setup?
I downloaded and compiled everything. When I started XFCE the only thing I got as a desktop was a panel where I could open up a file browsers. Is there somewhere I can load some default desktop that allows browsers and terminals? Thank you.

Start them 
Right click on the desktop, should all be there.
