Delete Application menu icon

Hi everybody,
I'm a forum newbie 

My name's Daniele... Nice to meet you ;D

I use Xubuntu 10.04 and I've customized it, but I would only label on Applications button? How do I do ? in Places button properties I can select "Only Icon" or "Only Label but in Applications I can't.

Panel: Right click on the menu button, click settings, remove obvious check mark.
Desktop: Right click on desktop, click desktop settings, click menu, ...
