[Solved] xfce4-terminal encoding

Bonjour,
when I use xterm and apt-get, everything is OK.
But when I use xfce4-terminal and apt-get, I haven't the french characters: é,è...
Why?
My locale is set to UTF8, and I'm using Debian Squeeze.
Merci for your answers.

Re: [Solved] xfce4-terminal encoding

Try using a different font?
e.g. install ttf-liberation or ttf-inconsolata

hoping this helps,

Re: [Solved] xfce4-terminal encoding

thank, but it doesn't work.
Precision:
xfce4-terminal -> xterm -> root -> apt-get  -> incorrect
xfce4-terminal -> root -> xterm -> apt-get  -> correct

Re: [Solved] xfce4-terminal encoding

Solution:
i copy the result of "# locale" in "/etc/default/locale"
"$locale' was not the same as "#locale'

Re: [Solved] xfce4-terminal encoding

Have you run :
#dpkg-reconfigure locales
and set your locale to UTF-8 ?
