Hello,
I would like to write a script which hides xfce4-panel, so how can I do it ? Any alternative methods ?
Regards,
Levon

Hi, deimus.
Can you tell us more about what you want to do? xfce4-panel already has an autohide option when in 'fixed position' mode.

I need to hide xfce4-panel when I need it. Auto-hide is not okay as it is being done automatically.
I've written an application which should run in full-screen mode but in full-screen mode the panel still remains so I wish to hide it from my app.

In this case, your full-screen code is probably not doing the right thing:
A huge number of apps exist that implement their own full screen mode (e.g. firefox) and they cover all panels.
The context menu of the title bar has a 'Full Screen Mode' menu item that adds this beheaviour even to xterm.

Hi,
my applications panel stops auto-hiding after a while and remains on top of application windows. Is this a bug? I also checked the margin settings, but they are set to 0.
