[Solved] limit fullscreen area

Hi all,

I would like to customize my desktop a little and hope that someone can help me.

The goal is to have a small stripe of my desktop of, say 5cm, on the left visible even in fullscreen, so I can access the files which ly there.
For instance a panel, where I can put things just like at the desktop would do the trick, but I couldn't find any.
Putting an invisible panel there doesn't help, since this also moves the desktio icons to the right.

Thanks!

Re: [Solved] limit fullscreen area

Go to Workspaces in your Xfce Control Center. In the Margins dialog at right, set a number of pixels (by trial and error) on the left-hand side to give you 5 cm of desktop which no window will occupy.
