[Solved] changing terminal prompt

Hello,
Sorry for my bad english ...
I would like change the prompt in a terminal, in order to include the path...
In a console it is very easy -> ~/profile and edit PS1
But when I launch an xterm under xfce this PS1 is not exported 
Thanks for a bit of help

.profile only gets run when you logon. What you need is .bashrc; this gets executed every time you start a shell (which you do when clicking on the terminal icon in Xfce).

You are perfectly right ! I have just tried it and that runs.
