Natty narwhal: No running instance of xfce4-panel was found

Hallo after upgrading to ubuntu (developer) version natty, there comes a few times one after another the messagebox: "No running instance of xfce4-panel was found". I started then with Alt-F2 xfce4-panel, but the desktop background is black and have no function. Before updating, everything was fine. I'm aware, that Natty Narwhal is a developer version, but maybe there is a bug in xfce or maybe uninstalling and reinstalling helps. Can someone help me? Thx,
