[Solved] Trash problem since 4.8

Hello,

after the update to 4.8 I have got a weird problem when emptying the trash:

Regardless which kind or size of the file(s) in the trash, it says

Could not delete file $filename. 
Items in the trash may not be modified. 
Do you want to skip it?

When I click on "Yes to all", it deletes the files - sometimes. Sometimes the files remain in the trash and I haven't found a way to delete them.

Is there any way to fix this?

Hello,

using Archlinux with xfce 4.8, I have the same issue.
Note that gvfs is installed

Yes, gvfs is installed ;-)
It would be very nice to get a solution SOON, because this is really annoying...

So can we get the updated Thunar from Git and if so is it stable?

Or when will a new tarball be uploaded we can download here; http://archive.xfce.org/xfce/4.8/src/ ?

Thunar in master and xfce-4.8 branch contains only bugfixes for now. You can also manually apply the patch: http://git.xfce.org/xfce/thunar/patch/? … 2fa0c30797
