[Solved] Submenus only appear when hovering the parent twice or click 3 times

Only happens when running with emerald --replace, but it's the only little thing which is missing from my week long amd64 gnu linux xfce 4.8 showoff installation and i cant solve it... *desperate*

not sure what config/logs to post, as everything works without errors, just when hovering a xfce menu with children for the first time, the submenus wont appear.
i have to click 3 times or move to another menuitem and return, then the submenus appear.
if i open the same menu a second time, all menus appear immediatelly.
feels a bit like a caching issue, but everything works without emerald, dont know where else to ask for help.

are there any menu related options i could try?
or some sort of menu-event debugging?

any ideas?

Sounds like a question for Emerald.

Try configuration the Emerald settings, or join an Emerald oriented forum.
