Hello,
I've been an avid XFCE user for a few years, but always went to gnome cause I didn't know how to enable Compositing in XFCE (I know now of course). But I just wanted to join say hey, and say thank you so much for making XFCE. I'm currently running XFCE 4.8 on Linux Mint 10 (compiled myself, just installed midori, mousepad, and orage).
I love the interface, I love love love love it. I've used KDE, felt it was too bloated, used Gnome, felt Gnome was heavy in a way, but XFCE has helped my computer stay cooler, run faster, and feel more like what I like for my OSes.
Thank you again, so much I love XFCE!

Welcome to the Xfce Forums.
I, too, use a version of LinuxMint (LMDE) with Debian 6 set to 'testing' . . . and I installed/compiled Xfce-4.8 myself.
I know that sooner, more than later -- Xfce-4.8 will make it into the Debian 'testing' repros, as well as, the Ubuntu/Mint repositories.
This will make the upgrade to Xfce-4.8 so much easier.
To the Xfce Devs: Love what you've done with this version of Xfce-4.8 . . . I can only imagine that Xfce-4.10 will be that much better, too.
