Steps when moving/resizing windows with keyboard

I recently decided that gnome had become too feature-crippled, and decided to try xfce instead. As I've been happy with using Debian since 1999, it's version 4.6.2 (the one in Squeeze).

I'm quite pleased with xfce, with one exception. When I move windows with alt+f7 and the arrow keys, the window moves in some fixed steps (some specific number of pixels) and when I wanted a window at the other side of the screen, it's a a lot of keypresses to get it there. A similar problem exist with resizing windows, although the maximize horisontically/vertically feature helps a lot, but sometimes I want a window to take up the space between another window and the border of the screen.

Is there a way to make <some modifier>+arrow keys make the window move/resize in larger (smaller would probably be useable too) steps like it worked in metacity?

.Henrik
