xfce4-cpugraph-plugin missing in list of available items for panel

Hi,
I have upgraded from 4.6 to 4.8 via the ppa recently (xubuntu maverick). Unfortunately I am not able to use the cpugraph plugin since. The package is installed (version 1.0.1-0ubuntu2) but cpu graph is not in the list of available items for the panel anymore. Any ideas what I could try to get it working?

IIRC the plugin is broken in the 4.8 panel, so maybe they removed the package during the upgrade?
