I erased all the entries in the Applications menu on the desktop

I am a new XFCE user, with the stock version in UBUNTU 10.10. I was using the menu editor, erased every entry in the Application menu on the Desktop instead of the one item I wanted to delete.

Is there a way to revert back to the default list of applications, or what can I un-install and re-install to recover the applications menu?

Remove the menu file from ~/.config/menus and possibly also .desktop files in ~/.local/share/applications
