Lately my X server started crashing whenever I logged out of XFCE. By killing off applications one by one I narrowed it down to xfdesktop. It's always reproducible. Happens both with open source Radeon driver and with VESA driver. Anyone else seeing this or know of a solution?
xorg-server 1.10.0-1
xfdesktop 4.8.1-2

Also reported in the bug tracker: http://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7442 but both your and the reports' backtrace aren't very helpful.

I take it you have not been able to reproduce with X.org server 1.10?

This is now fixed in xfdesktop 4.8.2 thanks to Nick.

Not a proper fix tho, we need to set the background on the X rootwindow for fake transparent apps, however, better no fake transparency then crashing X, so it will do for now.

I saw that it had been fixed on the Arch forum last night and installed xfdesktop again. Thank you!
