Window Buttons Grouping issue

I've searched through bugzilla and haven't found reference to this, but before I file one I'd like to see if anyone else has this issue:

I'm using a side panel due to screen size (netbook), so I have the Window Buttons widget only showing icons. To save more space, I group window icons by application. However, when I click on the group and then select the window from the list, it doesn't select that window or bring it to the top, it's as if clicking the button didn't do anything at all. When I don't group icons, clicking on the button for each window activates it as expected.

Is this something that someone else can replicate (and thus an Xfce4-panel issue), or am I likely running into some conflicts with other packages?

I don't have an answer to this, I'm afraid, but I have exactly the same problem, so at least you know it's not just you. Does anyone have an answer to this? I'm running Xfce 4.8 on Arch linux, version 2.6.37-ARCH.

badvok: Maybe it makes a difference, dunno, but I'm also running 4.8 on Arch (64bit, latest everything as of today, with all packages in xfce-goodies also installed). xfce4-panel is at version 4.8.2-1

Unless someone else knows something, I'll submit a bug report in a few days.

Same problem here, latest Arch (64 bit), except for kernel 2.6.36.3 and nvidia drivers.

There will be a new panel release this week, however there is one bug I'd like to fix before tagging the release. Need to find some time to resolve that problem.

Guess I should remember to search through closed bugs as well as open, since "fixed in this release" doesn't always mean "available today in your local package manager"
