If you want to access the forum over a secure connection; it is possible: https://forum.xfce.org.
That said, more sites have ssl certificates since today: wiki.xfce.org (optional, login forced over https), bugzilla.xfce.org (only https) and translations.xfce.org (also only https).
If you experience any problems, let me know.

You might have some problems with https access to the forum with non-sni capable browsers or operating systems. It warns you the certificate is for wiki.xfce.org but used on forum.xfce.org. The reason of this is that we use 2 licenses (no money for a wildcard license) on 1 ip. While this is possible, it's not as-it-should-be, so we might get another ip for the forum or wiki on the server to resolve this problem.
If you have this problem and still want to use the forum over https you can safely accept the certificate, because it will still encrypt the data, only not ensure the domain.

There's a nice AddOn for Firefox, called HTTPS Finder. If I access http://xfce.org with it, it redirects automatically to https://xfce.org which has no senseful content as http://xfce.org.
Please disable SSL on xfce.org or put some usable content to there.

The certificate is not valid for xfce.org, so I don't see why it should redirect there.

Your certificate is valid for xfce.org, it's not valid for www.xfce.org however (and HTTPS Finder doesn't forward to https on www.xfce.org).
