I've got an icon on my desktop for a hard drive I don't want to ever mess with directly. Is there a way to get rid of this?

You can disable "removable devices" from the desktop preferences, but that is for all removable devices, not per-device. Xfce 4.8 uses gio/gvfs for this and iirc there is also a way to hide a drive from gio/gvfs.

Hi folks .. I'm new here.
I have an ntfs partition of windows.. I want to mount automatically at startup, but if I do it from fstab, or ntfs-config fails to show the partition in thunar.
Any way to do this?
I have the music in that partition, and it's annoying mount it every time that started session to listen music. Also want to see the partition also in thunar as GtkFileChooser, nautilus or pcmanfm. Thunar is the only one that not show it.
Regard.
Matias.
