workspace keyboard shortcut

I have made 10 workspace. To go to each, I added the keyboard shortcut <Super>+#, where # goes 1-0 on the keyboard. To move a window to a workspace I have the shortcut <Super>+<Shift>+#.  The latter short cut for moving windows have no effect for workspace 9 and 0. That is, <Super>+<Shift>+( and <Super>+<Shift>+) do not work, but the eight "shifted" number before them do. How come? Are these two shortcuts conflicting with something else I don't know?
