long delays when exiting applications after copy operation
steps:
- open mousepad
- enter any text
- use mouse/keyboard to select text
- select copy
- close application (you may chose to save or not)
same behaviour is seen when using leafpad, gnumeric and geany (dunno if other apps are affected). sometimes this delay in closing an affected application can only be seen when the application is invoked from the command line.
OS: up to date archlinux (i686)
when i use LXDE, i do not witness this behaviour...

Looks like it is caused by the clipboard manager (not very hard to guess), reported here: https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7588.
