popup text labels in xfdesktop

When I point the courser to the desktop icon of Firefox (for the sake of this example), a popup label a appears with the semi-cryptic text:

Type: desktop configuration file
Size: 281 bytes
Last Modified: Sunday at 11:32:15 PM

I suggest that a more appropriate popup text would be:

Browse the World Wide Web

which is exactly what I find under "Comment" when I edit the launcher. Anyone has a clue how to make it happen?
