[Solved] cannot rip to ISO with xfburn

Hey all,

New to XFCE, Arch64 distro.

I have XFCE automounting the DVD, so I can see it, however, when I load xfburn, I would like to create an ISO from the disc, and cannot find the option.  Is there something I'm missing?

Re: [Solved] cannot rip to ISO with xfburn

Hi.

Not sure why this is marked as solve. I hit the same problem today while trying for the first time to create an iso image with Xfburn.

It apprears that as opposed to what can be read in different places, including which this (slightly outdated) page, Xfburn can't create CD or DVD images.

Can anyone confirm ?

Is this feature planned ?

Is Xfburn maintained ?

What is the recommended burning application for Xfce ?

I generally use command dd to create images, but I'd like to know what to recommend to a less advanced user.

Besides, I'm wondering why this is not supported in Xfburn already. It seems much easier than the other tasks it already performs.

Edit: Here's my version:
xfburn version 0.4.3 for Xfce 4.8
built with GTK+-2.24.10, linked with GTK+-2.24.10.
GStreamer support (built with 0.10.36, linked against 0.10.36)
