Wait cursor from cursor themes not shown

Hello,

I tried the whiteglass cursor theme but the wait cursor (arrow with a little watch in the lower right corner) is not shown but instead the wait cursor from the default theme is shown.

How to reproduce this error:
Create a starter (on a panel or on the desktop) -> It should execute "sleep 3s" -> Check "Visual response after program start" (I translated it from german, so the text could be different) -> Change cursor theme in the settings window -> reboot -> start the starter -> the cursor shown is from the default theme!

I tried other themes too -- same problem.

Is it possible to fix this problem or is this even a known bug?

Some version infos:
-) Arch Linux
-) Kernel version: 2.6.38-ARCH
-) Xfce 4.8.0
