Hiding specific drive icons on desktop?

Can this be done? Hiding specific drives from the desktop. I recently started using a distro with 4.8. I'm seeing encrypted drives as empty icons on the desktop; empty as in the default missing icon. Is there a way to hide them?

Re: Hiding specific drive icons on desktop?

Yes, except able to discriminate between removable drives and others. Filesystems is already unchecked, unfortunately these aren't counted as such. The only thing that makes them disappear is unchecking removable drives, but I still want to see removable drives such as usb drives and optical drives, hence this issue.
