KeePass2 copy/paste problem

Hi everybody!

I am new happy user of Xfce (xubuntu) who converted from Gnome (Ubuntu) because of Unity smile
All is wonderful and super fast but one thing is not working properly: copy/paste from KeePass2 application. I used it under Gnome too and never experienced this issue.

Have you ever had this kind of problem?

Thank you in advance!

Re: KeePass2 copy/paste problem

Hi harwester,

I'm using KeePassX in Xubuntu and Mint Xfce, and have no problem with copy and paste. I tried KeePass2 once but didn't go on with it. When importing an old KeePass file, KeePass2 told me that it can be done only on windows. It seems that KeePass2 was written with Microsoft tools first ( .net ?) and only later ported to Linux. So I'm not surprised when some things don't work well on Linux.

Re: KeePass2 copy/paste problem

I am having the same problem with KeePass2 and Xubuntu - no copy and paste. It makes entering those 40 character passwords a bit difficult.

You have to export Keepass files to XML and then import the XML in Keepass2.

Re: KeePass2 copy/paste problem

Well, I'm staying with the "old" KeePassX. It works well. and I don't feel I'm missing anything.
